Te Papa Cable St, Wellington
Please click HERE for maps and directions.

Te Papa is one of New Zealand's most spectacular venues and we are privileged to be having our Ball there again this year. The Ball is held in the Wellington Foyer which has plenty of room for table seating for 350 people and a lovely dance floor. With spectacular surroundings, views over Wellington harbour and lots of free parking, this a wonderful venue to be at.
A full 3-course dinner is served as part of the evening. Bread and dips etc will be served to your table along with an entree. You then help yourself to the buffet main course and dessert is served to your table later in the evening.
A bar is available so please do not BYO drinks. The bar will not have eftpos available so come prepared with cash.
There is a cloakroom available in the foyer for you to keep your coats etc safe during the evening.
Doors open at 7:30 and dinner starts at 8pm, so we suggest that you don't need to be at Te Papa before 7:30. Seating is not organised, you simply choose which table you want to sit at when you get there. Tables seat 10 people.
There are some tables reserved for the organisers of the weekend and people who have bought the beginners package, and please contact us if you have a group of 10 people organised and we can allocate a table for you in advance.
We suggest that you dress as for a Ball - men, a tie or costume is preferred. Anyone wearing jeans or t-shirts will be refused entry.
All tickets are sold in advance and no bookings can be taken less than 7 days before the event.

The Rec Centre has 2 lovely, large rooms where we hold our workshops. The Gym is the largest and will hold 200 people for a workshop, while the Dance Room is slightly smaller and will hold up to 100 people. Both rooms have wonderful sprung wooden floors in great condition, stages so that you can see the instructors clearly and heaps of natural lighting. The Dance Room also has lovely views over Wellington.
PLEASE LOOK AT THE ATTACHED MAP which shows how to get to the Rec Centre. It is not easy to find if you just turn up at the University campus. There are plenty of free parking spaces, or you can catch the Cable Car and walk for 10 minutes, or you can catch a cab. Either way, please allow enough time to find the venue. The are water coolers on site and there will be sandwiches and tea and coffee for sale. However please feel free to bring your own lunch and drinks. Videoing of the workshops is not allowed as they are filmed and a summary of each workshop is included in the DVD of the weekend that you can purchase. All workshops have limited numbers to ensure quality and safety. 11.30pm to 3.30pm Saturday & Sunday - GlamourDance will again be selling their fabulous dance shoes at the workshops.
